Growing up around 20 minutes outside of Nashville, Tenn., it was movies, not music, that Jacob always gravitated towards. This love of film is what sent him on a path to graduate from Western Kentucky University with a History Major and Film Studies Minor, and it is also what brought him to North Carolina as he is pursuing a master's degree in Film Studies at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington.
Some of his favorite films include Eighth Grade, Aftersun, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, and The Truman Show; he is also a fan of the works of Paul Thomas Anderson, Sidney Lumet, Greta Gerwig, and the Safdie Brothers. Throneberry is also a massive sports fan, he played rugby throughout college and is a fan of the University of Kentucky and the Chicago Bears.
