
Alan Jackson is the co-founder and co-director of the Footcandle Film Society, an organization with over 500 current members that holds monthly film screenings and discussions out of Hickory, North Carolina. Alan also serves as the co-director of the annual Footcandle Film Festival in September of each year, bringing films and filmmakers from around the world to Western North Carolina. Alan is currently Strategic Director for Jackson Creative, a creative development and marketing company producing videos, marketing campaigns and podcasts for a variety of businesses and organizations. He developed a network in 2008 (TheMESH.tv) for the production and distribution of podcasts. Alan is one of the new owners of the historic New State Cinema in downtown Newton, N.C., and handles all programming for the theater. He also serves as co-host of the “Footcandle Films” review and discussion podcast located on TheMESH.tv podcast network.
