Mallory is a Charlotte-based critic, content writer, film nerd, and cat mom. She earned a BA in English from Gardner-Webb University in 2018 and an MA in the Humanities (cinema and media studies track) from the University of Chicago in 2019. During her time in Chicago, she also completed an internship at the International Children’s Media Center, where she served as a member of the festival selection committee. Mallory has a special interest in horror, films about mental health and religious trauma, spectatorship theory, and film history. She is a regular contributor to Elements of Madness.
