Russell Miller was born and raised in northern Michigan, and he has many passions in life including health, nutrition, history, making lists and spending time with his wife and two boys.

Movies have always been a staple of his life and have influenced him since childhood. His Columbia House movie club VHS collection adorned his shelves, and Twister and ID4 posters tacked to his walls were the telltale signs of a cinephile in the making.

After migrating to North Carolina in 2007, he finally realized that he loved the discussion around all film, great and small, and wanted to tell others about his experiences with it.

So, he started writing.
