Christian Jessup is a filmmaker and critic based in Raleigh, N.C. With a background in film scoring, blogging, podcasting, and jury selections, his work brings a unique voice to film evaluation, often exploring the intersection of faith and cinema to find Christian meaning in film.
As a filmmaker, Jessup has written the music for 16 feature length and short films, as well as directing the award-winning 2020 documentary, The Dancin’ Bulldogs. Having graduated from Gardner-Webb University with a double major in music composition and film studies, Jessup went on to intern in 2017 at Hans Zimmer’s music studio, Remote Control Productions.
Jessup contributes as a jury voter and writer for Kenneth Morefield’s Arts & Faith Ecumenical Jury, serves on the selection committee for the Real to Reel Film Festival, and periodically guest stars on Meet Me at the Movies, a TV show that airs on C19 TV, WGWG radio, and online.
