I’m a Detroit-transplant cinephile/tv junkie who loves to watch films, write them and write about them. I am excited to be engaged with North Carolinians who love cinema and, I also love talking about it. My favorite film of all time is Kill Bill - don’t ask which one, I can’t watch them separately!

My film and TV reviews are frequently posted on 8bitwaffles.com. I write reviews, film musings and rants on Instagram and Twitter (@blakcinephile). I have also written for  “We Are Critix” (@wearecritix on IG).

In my spare time, I’m an avid podcaster, currently serving as the co-creator/co-host of two shows: “Double Feature: Versus” (doublefeaturevs.com), a show where two cinephiles clash heads on two competing films with a single connection or theme and “The Vault” (goldtelevision.net/thevault), a Detroit-stationed podcast discussing the A-Z’s of cinema, from filmmaking to film reviews to industry updates.
