Paul Davis Jr. has only ever wanted to do two things. First, he wanted to be a paleontologist. Second, he wanted to be involved with movies. In truth, he only wanted the first thing because of Jurassic Park.
Paul attended the Media Studies program at UNCG and graduated with a 3.89 GPA. He still holds the record for fastest completion of a final exam in Media History. After college, Paul worked as a Coverage Writer in LA, a Contract Marketer, and a high school English teacher in rural Texas.
In 2020, Paul began working with two podcasts. The first was writing for a show that interviewed media and entertainment professionals. The second was The Film Buds Podcast, a show started by a fellow UNCG alum. After almost a year of co-hosting at Film Buds, Paul became the manager and primary host. He shares hosting duties with his wife, and posts new episodes weekly.
Guests on his show include RT-Certified Critic Nicolás Delgadillo, EW Writer Clark Collis, Writer/Educator Dr. Alison Peirse, and more.
Paul is dedicated to Film and Television History, preservation of physical media, and educating listeners without boring them to tears.
