Bonding Over Bond with Matt Brunson

It seems we’ve been waiting for James Bond’s latest adventure “No Time to Die” forever, and now, it’s almost here. As we get ready to embrace another chapter in Ian Fleming’s OO7 franchise, we thought it would be an excellent time to revisit the films, characters, music, and actors that got us here.

North Carolina Film Critics Association member Matt Brunson takes us on a journey that may shake and stir our thoughts and reactions as we seek to bond together in spy craft, evil villains, fast cars, death-defying action, and a love interest or two … all to a soundtrack featuring the likes of Carly Simon, Duran Duran and Adele.

Let’s see where your favorites line up with Matt’s.

Taking Stock of Bond: Ranking the 007 Flicks, Matt Brunson, The Film Frenzy

With No Time to Die set for stateside release on October 8, now seems an opportune time to offer rankings of all 26 movies in the popular 007 series.

Why the two-title discrepancy? Simple: Although there have been 24 official James Bond outings, there have also been two theatrical movies made by other hands and not included in the accepted canon. But since I tend to be a completist, both works — 1967’s Casino Royale and 1983’s Never Say Never Again — are positioned accordingly in the following list, which starts at the bottom and shoots to number one with a Walther PPK bullet.

Check out the list here.
